GRETA BEECH

  Greta has always loved the colors and artistry of old stained glass windows. While living in England in 2000, she began taking classes in the copper-foil, or Tiffany, method of stained glass. After returning to the US in 2001, she learned the lead method and has been happily breaking glass ever since. Around 2007, she added a kiln and began melting bottles and fusing glass into jewelry, ornaments, dishes, and other decorative items. She now teaches both stained glass techniques, as well as  fusing from her home studio in Conyers.

  In an effort to introduce more people to working with glass, she began teaching short workshops in fusible glass. These have become fun, creative, portable parties resulting in jewelry, ornaments, plant stakes, sun catchers, bottle stoppers, and votives. Each participant creates their own unique glass item, ready for pickup after firing in the kiln.

  A native Atlantan, Greta and her husband have five grown children and resides in Conyers. They enjoy camping, work with various local non-profits and International mission work.
